ABOUT PWCS CONTRACT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
PWCS introduced a Contract Management System (CMS) in 2001 to manage the operations of contractors conducting services to PWCS. This system was enhanced during 2007 to include all contract organisations accessing PWCS to conduct work for PWCS, vessels or rail providers.
All organisations conducting work on or accessing PWCS sites must be accredited with PWCS.
Accreditation is the outcome of a formalised process that PWCS uses to ensure that contract organisations meet PWCS requirements for safety and environmental management. Organisations Accredited with PWCS have systems of work in place that meet legislative and PWCS requirements for safety and environmental management.
Access to PWCS will not be provided to any employee or subcontractor of organisations who are not Accredited with PWCS.
PWCS recommends that if specialist services are required to be conducted on PWCS sites, Accredited contract organisations are used. These organisations have the required safety and environmental systems in place that meet PWCS requirements and are aware of the safe system of work at PWCS.
Further information regarding the PWCS Contract Management System is available by contacting the Contract Management Unit. Contact can be made by telephone on 02 4907 2760 or email cms@pwcs.com.au.
